New CM team forming

Posted on the March 1st, 2009 under test by CM Administrator

Thanks to the generous contributions of our user community, we have been assembling a new team of developers and designers to take the CriticalMath experience to the next level. Welcome to Mike Buell, CM’s new lead developer. Mike brings to the table an extensive background in computer science. He has many years of experience developing web applications on a variety of platforms, including PHP, Cake, Zend, Ruby, Ajax and WordPress. We’d also like to welcome Bradly Brown and Hans Hendley, who are collaborating on logos, styles, graphics, workflows and colors. A special thanks also to David Perezcassara who is assisting with various tasks as CM version 4.0 comes online.

The New CriticalMath Philosophy

Posted on the January 20th, 2009 under Uncategorized by CM Administrator

The CriticalMath Apollo Project is a new approach to journal and conference management. Now on our sixth year in business, CriticalMath has adopted a completely new methodology for application development. Over the last few months we’ve been evaluating platform after platform looking for the perfect solution to streamline our development, bring better services to our clients, and increase the usability of CriticalMath’s journal and conference management tools while remaining free to the end user.

Thanks partly to organizations like Google, WordPress, Drupal, SorceForge, to name a few, and countless individual contributors, we’ve been able to compile a toolset that will make CriticalMath one of the leading providors of free, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) journal and conference management.

We have remained free for any journal to use since 2005, and it is a huge part of our mission to be able to continue to do so. We do offer a set of expanded services for users with special needs, but aside from that CriticalMath remains completely free for any journal or conference to use.
